History

Our organization began with Safeway Trucking, in 1954, providing local temperature-controlled transportation for confectionary products within the Northeast. It was in response to our customers growing need for warehouse space that East Coast Warehouse & Distribution was founded in 1957.

The leaders of East Coast Warehouse and Safeway Trucking achieved the Company's vision of becoming a high quality service organization, building trust through outstanding performance.

Today we embrace that tradition in partnership with the private equity firm, Fenway Partners. We can attribute more than 50 years of success to our loyal customers, dedicated staff, and commitment to quality performance.
