It includes complete inventory management functionality, invoicing, RF, RFID & Bar-coding / Labeling features, Wireless task automation, e-Business connectivity, EDI, and 24/7 web based visibility through SNAP (System Network Access Program).

Refrigerated Trucking and Transportation

For over 50 years, Safeway Trucking, located at East Coast Warehouse, has been providing temperature-controlled truckload (TL) and less than truckload (LTL) transportation services. Our established relationship with major supermarkets chains, wholesale clubs, and distribution centers makes us equipped to move your products effortlessly.

Safeway manages daily service throughout the Northeast with our dedicated in-house fleet and nationwide through both our brokerage division and pool distribution network. Additionally, our on site-rail facility, with seven car capacity provides connections to CSX and Norfolk Southern.

Intermodal Transportation

It is our strategic relationships with all the Steamship Lines and Terminal Operators, built on good faith over the last 50+ years that gives us a competitive advantage in our pier and intermodal service offerings.

Our unique location allows us to transport overweight containers within the Port without the cost of overweight permits. We make container deliveries throughout the Northeast out of Port NY/NJ. Safeway is capable of handling 20’ / 40’ / 45’ ocean containers ,

48’ / 53’ rail containers and we have specialized and standard chassis for dray moves.

Safeway is the preferred carrier for many steamship lines in Direct to Customer programs. And our sophisticated Container Management System offers online visibility of containers which updates every 15 minutes.
